Welcome to our website, and thank you for your interest in TALS – Legal Professionals of Tennessee. I invite you to explore this site and learn about some of the benefits you can derive from membership in our association. Please feel free to contact a TALS officer or chapter representative in your area for information about membership and opportunities for involvement in a local chapter association. Membership in TALS can help you achieve and maintain a competitive edge in your career as a legal professional. TALS’ vision is to be an important part of the legal community in order to advance the legal profession, further education for those engaged in legal work, and stimulate a high order of professional standards and ethics among those persons engaged in the legal profession. Its members include paralegals, secretaries, and support staff in private law offices, trust companies, various courts, and municipal and governmental agencies.

TALS is part of a multi-level organization composed of:

TALS offers national certification programs for legal professionals who wish to be identified as exceptional in their field.

TALS members encourage respect for the law and the administration of justice; observe rules governing privileged communications and confidential information; promote and exemplify high standards of loyalty, cooperation, and courtesy; perform all duties of the profession with integrity and competence; and pursue a high order of professional attainment.
